We believe in creating a safe and welcoming space for everyone. It is our goal to help support students through difficult decisions and to empower them to have the confidence to achieve their dreams. Student Services is committed to providing personal, academic, and career counselling.  We will help prepare students for high school and post-high school life through partnerships with students, staff, parents and community by focusing on well-being and by providing a wide range of opportunities and experiences for all students.

Resources available

Personal counselling:

we offer confidential mental health support for stress, anxiety, family issues, gender identity and more. Counsellors can provide outside contact information for additional support if needed.

 

 

Academic counselling:

we are here to help. Services include tutoring information, high school planning and providing information about graduation requirements. Services are offered through workshops or individual conversations. Counsellors can also liaise between students and teachers.

Career counselling: 

resources are available to help students prepare and plan for life after high school.

 

Post-secondary counselling:

we can help develop a specific plan for individual students, review post secondary entrance requirements and provide access to scholarship and financial information.

 

Community Helpers Program:

this program offers peer support and suicide prevention training specific to youth.

Most frequent questions and answers

Personal counselling and referrals, liason between teachers, students, and community resources.We also offer career counselling (my blueprint), Registered Apprenticeship Program, Work Experience, academic counselling, and post secondary information.

To request an appointment, there is a form available on Wagner Connect. They can also email or call counsellors directly.

This varies, depending on the program and insitution. We would need to address the question case by case so encourage booking an appointment with one of our counsellors.
